Dr Kate originally trained in Neuroscience and worked in the field of psychiatric research before completing her Medical degree at the University of Western Australia. She spent her initial postgraduate years acquiring experience whilst working in a range of disciplines at Fremantle, Rockingham and Princess Margaret Hospitals. During this time, Kate also completed a Diploma in Child Health and a Diploma in Women’s Health. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and also works as a Medical Educator at WAGPET, helping to mentor and educate the new generation of GPs training towards their fellowship in WA. She enjoys all aspects of general practice and her special interests include women’s health, sexual health (including family planning counselling and Implanon® insertion), children’s and adolescent health. When she is not working, Kate enjoys family time with her young daughter, pilates and general beachside life.
