A Little about our friendly nurses
JO~ After graduating with a degree in health science (nursing) I completed a post graduate certificate in Paediatrics. I have worked in several of Perth’s hospitals and acquired many skills along the way. I transitioned to primary health care more than a decade ago and have worked in medical practices with the majority of my employment at Trigg Health Care Centre. I enjoy working collaboratively with the rest of our team in maintaining and improving the health of our patients.
STEPH ~ I emigrated from the UK in 2009 with my family. I have worked as a practice Nurse for 6 years, previously working on a variety of wards at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and Joondalup Health Campus. In the UK I have had experience working as a Community Nurse and in surgical nursing. I enjoy the varied nature of the role of practice Nurse, particularly at Trigg Health Care Centre which is a well- equipped surgery and a happy environment.
LISA ~ I completed my training through the hospital based system at Princess Margaret Hospital. I have since gained a diverse clinical experience including school health, aged care and palliative care with my last ten years being in primary care. I continue my nursing studies today through Charles Darwin University. Working at Trigg Health Care Centre for three years I have focused on chronic disease and health assessments for those over 75 years of age. Chronic Disease Management enables a person with complex or chronic health problems to be active participants in their care. It is a person centred, collaborative approach to health. Health Assessments are integral to maintaining independence and quality of life by assessing physical health and facilitating access to support services in the community.
